Busy Girl's Supper

"This was one of my Nanny's old stand by recipes. It is a very basic, no frills dish. Yummy and it couldn't be easier. Great with hot, buttered rolls."

 1. Yummy! I was put off my the tomato soup at first, but I'm glad I tried it.

 2. Very easy to put this meal together and I had everything here on hand. I did use stew meat instead of cutting up a round steak into pieces. Had close to two pounds of meat and only 1 can of tomato soup so I added about 1 cup of V8 juice. Will try this in my crock pot too. Thank you for a good comforting dinner tonight!

 3. My DH and I loved this recipe. It was quick, simple, low fat, comforting, seasonal and filling! My only amendment was the addition of 2 parsnips, as they were in the house. My DH already wants to know when we're having this again. Thanks for posting!

 4. This was very good and the flavors did not over power each other!! This recipe utilizes basic ingredients that you have on hand, except maybe for the round steak. It was fast to prepare and in the oven in no time at all. When the girls came home from their musical practice at school we had a nice hardy family meal together. My round steak weighed 3 pounds so I made two casseroles, one for tonight and the other for tomorrow. Thank you for a no fuss recipe that the whole family loved! I made this for PAC fall 2006

I live just outside a town of 18,000 people. We are actually 8 miles out in the "sticks" and we love it! I have a son who is 9 and a daughter who is 6. DH and I have been married for 10 years. We also have a furry baby, our 9 year old maltese mix Rita. I am a full time homemaker. I am very active in supporting our troops. The whole family is involved in writing and sending care packages. We've made some awesome, life long friends over the past 2 years! I am crazy about roosters! My kitchen is full of roostery things and I have to buy ever new rooster item I find! As far as cooking goes, I have pretty much had to teach myself. My Mom's idea of cooking was going to McDonalds! Life sure got interesting when I married a man who's mom made everything from scratch! LOL The first few years we pretty much survived on Hamburger Helper. In the past year, I've discovered I have a passion for baking. I love trying new recipes. My new thing is trying to find new recipes for my crockpot.
