  1. Preheat oven to 350º.
  2. Grease and flour 8-inch square pan.
  3. Lightly toast sliced almonds, set aside.
  4. Blend sugar and melted butter.
  5. Add beaten eggs, mixing well.
  6. Stir in almond & vanilla extracts.
  7. Mix together salt & flour; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  8. Spread batter into pan.
  9. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and almonds.
  10. Bake 30-35 minutes.,.
  11. *Baking them for 30 minutes will give you a soft moist result, baking for 35 will give you a crunchy-topped delight.
