  1. In a bowl mash drained butter beans; add egg, cheese, onion, green pepper, saltine crackers, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix.
  2. Divide into 4 patties.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet.
  4. Use more or less oil to reach 1/4 inch depth in pan. Make sure oil is hot.
  5. Fry patties on each side until golden, about 5 minutes. (I bet I take less time, lol).
