Serves:: 4-6

ingredients

¹⁄₂ cup shortening
5 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 ¹⁄₂ cups buttermilk
¹⁄₄ teaspoon baking soda
¹⁄₄ teaspoon salt
¹⁄₄ - ¹⁄₂ cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 teaspoons sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon

directions

Make dough with shortening, flour, baking powder, buttermilk, baking soda and salt.
Roll out as for a pie crust.
Mix butter, vanilla, sugar and cinnamon to make filling.
Spread filling over crust and fold crust in half.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Bake 350* 25 minutes.
