"We went to the annual "Yule Ball" at the Middle East club in Cambridge, Ma and I had their version of a Butterbeer. Oh my god! It is so good. But go easy on them, they sneak up on you."

directions

  • Add ice cubes to tall glass.
  • Add vodka.
  • Add schnapps.
  • Add soda.
  • Enjoy and drink responsibly.
  • I used ounce measurement because this site doesn't accept "parts" as a valid measure. But basically, it's equal parts vodka and schnapps to half as much soda. You can adjust the soda for a less strong version.

  1. I am not a big Harry Potter fan, but have heard of this drink. I made as written and agree, it is strong, but the flavors that stand out are the butterscotch and vodka. Was worried I might not like it with the cream soda, but thought it was a tasty drink. Thanks for sharing a fun recipe. Made for PAC 2011.

  2. Whoa! Super strong even for me. I can see this has potential but I would definitely decrease the vodka by half next time. I even used more cream soda. Thanks for posting though!

  3. Delicious! I'm not so much a fan of vodka, so I use vanilla rum instead, but I love this stuff!

I live in Salem, Massachusetts with my spouse and dog. I work in a gift store in the middle of the downtown area so I see a lot of visitors to our city from the world over.
