Buttercream Frosting

"I tried to replicate the buttercream from the Good Housekeeping cookbook, mainly because the book fell apart & the page got lost. I made this for my father's birthday cake, w/ the addition of coconut extract in place of vanilla. Very good."

  1. I just fixed this and it turned out wonderful and would like to say thank you for sharing this recipe.....

  2. This is very tasty, it uses a more butter than my usual recipe so you have to be careful that it doesn't break as it warms up while beating. I added a tiny pinch of salt and little bit of lemon juice (you don't want to taste it) to off set the sweetness. Made for PAC Fall 2011
