Buttermilk Pound Cake

"This is another recipe clipping that Mom collected. I am sure there is one here on Zaar, but I just want to put it here for safe keeping. These are all cut out of magazines and I have no idea which magazine or paper they came from. Some are even newspaper clippings."

  • Add and mix well all of the dry ingredients.
  • Add oll of the other ingredients one at a time and mix well.
  • Pour into a greased and floured tube pan
  • Bake at 325* for 1 hours.
  • When cake is cool Ice with your favorite glaze.

  1. Cake was very rich, very heavy and moist. I used butter for the shortening so that may have contributed to it.
