Homemade waffles and buttermilk syrup was requested for dinner. The recipe I typically use calls for Caro Syrup, and I was out. I really didn't want to venture out on this snowy night, so I searched for a different recipe and came across this one. Make sure you stir constantly, and use a bigger pot than you think you'll need. This foams up quickly and you'll have a sticky mess on your hands if you don't.

I live in Southeastern Washington with my husband and 3 kids (2 girls, 1 boy) and spend most of my time taking care of them. After 8 years as a SAHM I've found a part time job in a law office that I really enjoy. I love Recipezaar and whenever people talk about me being a great cook I make sure to tell them that I'm a good cook that knows a great web site.
