Butterscotch Apple Crumble Dessert

"I love butterscotch and I love apple crumble! This dessert is a combination of two terrific flavors! I find that Braeburn or Roma apples have worked really well for this crumble. I have also made this using peaches -- Delicious too!!!"

  1. this is so yummy! I didn't have any quick-cooking oats so I used regular and that seemed to work just fine, this one of the better apple crumbles I have made, I highly recommend trying it, thanks Kitty, this was made for KK's Chef's Pick forum game

  2. Boy...is this ever good. I too have made alot of applecrisps in my day and this is the first time using butterscotch pudding mix in the crumble. A nice tasty addition. I used walnuts in place of the pecans and also gave a generous sprinkling of cinnamon...just b/c I love my cinnamon. Made for Strawberry Tag in KK's forum!~

  3. This was fabulous . We don't have the butterscotch pudding here so I chose to use chocolate which worked really well and gave great colour to the dessert. It was incredibly easy to do and I would like to try next time with pears and choc pudding. Made for Everyday is a Holiday.

  4. This was one of the easiest crumble dessert I made. And the taste, also one of the best. I'll give the recipe to my mother (which mean I'Ll have to translate it in French for her LOL). The topping is wonderful because of the pecans and the butterscotch pudding (mine was a light, low-calorie). I used 6 large Cortland apples that gave me 6 cups. I baked it 40 minutes and it was ready. Thanks Kittycatmom :) Made for PRMR :)
