  • 3 cups milk, scalded
  • 1 12 cups bread cubes
  • 34 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 teaspoon almond flavoring

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 325°F.
  2. Butter a 1- quart baking dish.
  3. Pour scalded milk in bowl; soak the bread in milk. Cool.
  4. Cook brown sugar with butter, stirring until melted; add to milk mixture.
  5. Add remaining ingredients; blend.
  6. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until set.
