ingredients
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Combine butter, sugar, egg & vanilla in mixing bowl.
- Beat well until light & fluffy.
- Sift together flour, baking powder & salt, and stir into butter sugar mixture.
- Spread in greased 8" square pan.
- Bake 25-30 minute.

Easy to make & a delight to eat! Still, another time I might just add some butterscotch chips to boost that flavor even more, although it will then just add to the amount of sugar! Can't win for losing, I guess! However it's done, though, I will be making these again! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed for one of my adopted chefs in this Spring's Pick A Chef event]
