directions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat 1/2 cup butterscotch chips at 70% power for 2-3 minutes or until melted, stirring occasionally. Cut a small hole in the corner of a pastry or plastic bag; insert a #4 round tip. Fill with melted chips. Pipe "mom" eight times onto a waxed paper-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate until set, about 10 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, stir the coffee and remaining butterscotch chips until chips are melted. Stir in half-and-half and sugar. Serve in mugs with whipped cream and "mom" garnishes.

  1. Lovely coffee treat that is hard to drink slowly, lol. I used fat free evaporated milk for the half and half. The coffee and butterscotch work wonderfully together :D. Made for Comfort Cafe, Jan 09.

  2. This is really good. A special way to enhance coffee when you are looking for something different. I will make this again!

  3. I saw this in TOH a few years ago, but could never find it when I wanted it! Tried it tonight for the first time-since it was just for me I left off the garnish. Next time I would also use low fat milk and leave off the sugar and whipped cream - making this a 3 ingredient indulgent coffee treat! Thanks for posting!
