  • 1 (18 1/2 ounce) box yellow cake mix
  • 12 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (6 ounce) package butterscotch chips

directions

  • Mix all ingredients.
  • Spray baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Drop dough by tablespoonful onto sheet; Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes.

  2. These cookies were a hit with my family. Even my boy who swears he hates butterscotch is begging me to make more! I am however, going to bake them at a little higher temp for a little longer because they ran a little flat. This recipe is still great and the variations could be endless simple by changing the cake mix or the chips. O.k I just made my 3rd batch and I know why they would run a little flat. It was the brand. I switched from a store brand cake mix to a name brand and wow! they were pretty.
     
  3. These had a really nice texture to them. They were a little sweet for me personally. Next time instead of butterscotch chips I may try semi sweet chipse to cut down the sweetness. They do get an A+ in my book for easy preparation. My 10 year old is learning how to cook and these were so simple she was able to make them completely on her own, she was so proud of herself!
     
  4. Pretty good. If I make again, I am going to try with either a Spice or Butter Pecan cake mix.
