Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookies

"Another recipe from what I call my from-here-and-there-and-everywhere collection. I Don't know where I got it....I know we liked them a lot because it has a blue star sticker (my system of remembering which of my tons of recipes I have made) on it and the blue stars were pretty - so I would have used them on the recipes that we really liked! :)"

  1. These were not too bad, but kind of bland - until we spiced the 'roll-in' sugar with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves (like for snickerdoodles). That added a nice kick to them. Definitely would make these again!

  2. These are a softer type of cookie, which I like. The first two cookie sheets I rolled out as called for. They kept a very nice round shape when they came out of the oven. If you roll they you may want to chill the dough for a short time. After the first 2 sheets I dropped the rest by spoonfuls, using the back of the spoons to somewhat shape them on the cookie sheet. Made for the *Recipe Swap 14* game 2008 in the Aussie/NZ forum. Our group was *The Kumara Kids* Group 28
