Butterscotch Velvet Sauce

"this is a rich sauce that would enhance any ice ceam sundae..it is very thick, a deep rich golden brown..the sauce should be stored in the refrigerator..bring it to room temperature and warm it in a pan of hot water for 10 minutes to soften it before serving"

directions

  • in a heavy saucepan, combine the brown sugar, coffee, butter and salt.
  • cook over moderate heat until the sugar dissolves about 5 minutes.
  • add the condensed milk and cook, stirring constantly.for 5 more minutes.
  • remove from the heat and allow to cool --
  • pour into jars and refrigerate.

I love cooking, and reading Christian fiction..I have 5 grandchildren..4 boys and 1 spoiled granddaughter...I also have a black cocker spaniel named Tobey..who is very spoiled..Love computer games, cross stitch and reading cookbooks..I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia almost a year ago, on September 26, 2005....was in an out of the hospital for 8 months, doing intensive chemo...I am doing well now, thanks for all the prayers...
