We liked this a lot. Nice way to serve cabbage. I had several baby cabbages, so I just tore the leaves instead of chopping them and I made carrot ribbons, it came out looking quite pretty and very tasty with the celery seed and touch of lemon. Instead of the butter I used olive oil. Thanks for posting , I will make it again.

This dish is fantastic! Our family likes cabbage, and this was a different way to prepare it. It was easy to make, but you would never know it, yum, yum. I happened to see some bacon bits left over in a jar in my fridge and tossed them in too. I'll certainly make this over and over, and maybe sometime try adding some leftover diced or chopped ham so I could make a meal in one pot. Thank you so much, SooZee for such a great recipe. We all LOVED it!!

I was planning on making steamed buttered cabbage and decided to try your recipe. We really liked the taste between the sweetness of the carrots and the stronger cabbage taste! They meld together very well! The lemon and celery seed really brought out a whole new taste! We loved it! Thanks for a new twist on buttered cabbage!

I live in Saskatoon, Sask. Canada. I'm retired, living alone and loving it. I'm a cross-stitch addict and spend hours every day stitching; I love to cook and try new recipes. I have two long shelves full of recipe books that I have to admit I rarely look at as I have a foot long recipe box with all my favorites in it.
