ingredients
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1⁄3 lb bulk sausage
- 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
- salt and pepper
- 1 cup Minute Rice
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1⁄4 cup ketchup
- 1 (11 ounce) can sauerkraut
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 head cabbage
directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix first 6 ingredients together.
- Coarsely chop cabbage.
- Arrange meat mixture & cabbage in layers in a greased 2-21/2 quart casserole dish.
- Pour tomato sauce over all and top with saurkraut.
- Drizzle with ketchup and brown sugar.
- Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until cabbage is tender and meat and rice are cooked.
- Serve with mashed potatoes.
