Directions

  1. Rub the side and bottom of a wooden salad bowl with the garlic. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Combine the anchovies, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, egg yolk, and hot sauce in the prepared salad bowl and mix well. Add the romaine and toss to coat. Sprinkle with cheese and pepper. Top with croutons. Serve immediately with Olive Sticks (see recipe).
