Cajun Spiced Shrimps

"I have also made this using scallops, or a mix of shrimp and scallops, and it is just as nice! I like to serve it with rice and a refreshing cucumber salad. The hotness will depend on the blend of your Cajun Seasoning. Mine is pretty hot, I make my own blend."

  1. Xcellent! I used green peppers, (as that was on hand) but it didn't change the recipe not one bit. I could see serving this to the Queen ~ it is so good and so pretty too! I didn't cook my shrimp as long, since they only need to be cooked so little, and they were perfect. Made in memory of a lovely lady, Pets. 2011

  2. We really enjoyed this dish. The flavors went so well together. I used a mixture of Red & Yellow Peppers because that was what I had on hand. It was just spicy enough with out being too hot. I used what will probably be the last of my fresh Gulf Shrimp in this. This is easy to put together, but is definitely something you could serve to company also. I served it over Angel Hair Pasta, with fresh sliced tomatoes and buttered french bread YUMMY! Made for the LIvestrong Cook-a-thon event for Pets R Us Sorry for the late submission :(

  3. We loved this and hoped our dinner would never finish-it was that good! It was perfectly spiced for us and I made it using Pets' own Recipe #114562 I used slightly smaller local wild (and very sweet) prawns and served this over rice.

  4. ***Made for Cook-a-thon event for Pets'R'us May 2010*** This was very good! The only thing I did different was cut the batch in half. Other than that, this was perfect. I will definately be making this again. Thanks for posting this recipe!

  5. Hey you! Yes, you...the one surfing, looking around for an easy, impressive and delicious recipe to wow your boyfriend or in-laws. This recipe is IT. Prep all ingredients in advance, as well as your table setting. Pour the wine, pop the garlic bread into the oven and then warm the rice. Cook as directed then just sit back relishing in all the wonderful compliments...and believe me, they will come.

  1. This is definitely a 10 star or more recipe!! This could be served at the finest restaurants. The only change I made was to use 2 red chili peppers instead of the red pepper. I too served it over angel hair pasta. I can't wait to make this again. Thanks so much Pets!

Hello, my name is Bonnie and I am a very beautiful cat as you can see if you look at the picture at the top of this page.... What??.. I am supposed to talk about you??? But it says here: About Me!! Well all right then ...... My mom is Dutch and has moved to England in October 2007, after living 15 years in the Netherlands with my English dad. They don’t have any human children and “created” their own family, which means I have to share them with Hannah, she is a 6 years old tortie cat, Abby the dog, she is a 9 year old Beagle, and a one year old black Miniature Pincher named Poppy, I refuse to tell you my age but I am a georgious lilac British Shorthair cat!! It is obvious she adores pets just by looking at her name she uses on Zaar (many on Zaar call her Pets or Petsie Poo), her name in real life is Annelies and that is a common Dutch name. My mom always liked to cook, but since she joined Zaar it got out of control, and it doesn’t help that she is disorganized. Printed recipes everywhere in the house, the recipe binders have got bigger and just between you and me, her hips too!!! I have lived in Holland all of my life until now, but they lived in several different countries/places:- desert and coastal Oman, up North and West in Holland, Vancouver-Canada, Aberdeen- Scotland and in Norway they lived in Bergen and Oslo. We have all moved together to England, as you can see I’ve already learnt the language! I heard her say to Dad that this is the last time she moved to another country...she's had it with moving from one place to another! ( its her age...she's getting grumpy) Mom is 55 years old but I always hear her say that the date of her birthday does not mean that much to her, the date of her cancer anniversary is more important, because so far she is a survivor. Besides cooking she has other interests too, crafts, gardening and soap making. She likes Zaar and is one of the hosts on the German-Benelux Forum here on RecipeZaar. She would like to thank everybody who tries and comments on the recipes she has posted on Recipezaar, your feedback is very much appreciated.
