Candied Apple Shake

ingredients

  • 1 cup granny smith apple, peeled, diced and partially frozen
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (preferably fresh-squeezed)
  • 12 cup apple juice or 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 34 cup vanilla frozen yogurt (nonfat is fine)
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
  • 23 cup cracked ice

  • Pour all ingredients into a blender.
  • Blend until smooth.

  1. This was a very cold refreshing shake. I had a slight mishap with my blender and had to add extra apple juice because mine leaked out lol. And I added a lil more caramel than called for, but this was great, thanks! Made this for Fall PAC 2008.

  3. Ohh, this is so good and refreshing, and it's the perfect time to have this now that the weather is getting nicer. But i knew I was going to enjoy this as granny smith apples are my favourite kind of apples.
     
  4. I made a half batch of this & I loved as did my little miss DD. I used fresh apple, I love apple in smoothies, & left out the ice. A nice blend of flavours, just like a toffee apple. For ZWT III.
     
  5. I made this the other night as a treat for dessert and I blended everything up before adding the apple and tried a little before I added the apple to the rest of the ingredients. It tasted good and it was pretty sweet but I just couldn't get past the texture of this after adding the apple to it. I think I'd make it again but I'd just add more frozen yogurt and maybe a little bit of milk and leave out the apple. Thank's!
