"I learned this from my dad, and we make it every Christmas! I really love them, and they are quite hard to stop eating! We put part of a batch into a few cute,little jars and give them as Christmas presents to neighbors."

  • Combine and cook sugar, water, salt, and cinnamon to 'soft ball' stage without stirring.
  • Remove from heat, add vanilla and pecan-halves.
  • Stir gently until the nuts are well coated and the mixture becomes creamy.
  • Turn out on wax paper.
  • Separate the nuts as they cool.
  • Enjoy!
