Caramelized Shallots

- 500 g golden shallots
- 90 g butter
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
directions
- Peel and slightly trim the base of the shallots.
- Melt butter in saucepan and add the shallots.
- Cook over very low heat for about 20 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in water and sugar over a low hear until sauce thickens and is syrupy.
