Carrot Apple Oatmeal Flax Doggie Cookies

- 4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons flax seeds
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup carrot (chopped)
- 1 apple (cut up core removed)
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 egg (large)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
directions
- Combine in a bowl the flour, oats and cinnamon and mix together.
- In a food processor add the water, flaxseeds, carrots, apple, molasses, canola oil, egg and vanilla.
- Puree until smooth.
- Pour over the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Knead a few minutes until the dough holds together.
- Roll out with rolling pin to about 1/4" thick.
- With a fork poke holes all over the surface.
- Using a cookie cutter, preferably a doggie bone shape, cut out shapes.
- Place on parchment paper lined sheet pans.
- Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes and leave in oven until cooled.
- I Freeze and bring out as necessary.
- Sit back and enjoy all your doggie raves and kisses.
