  2. We made two, one for my son and one for my daughter. It was one of those days when we needed to stay home and not run around town. What a fun project for children! We used Recipe #108492 and it came out beautiful!

  3. Thank you for posting this wonderful and fun idea. My son loved his cake and everyone was amazed that I was able to produce such a lovely caterpillar. I used sour strips for the stripes and mouth and marshmallows and M&M's for the eyes. I used a pound cake for the cake mix and it turned out very tasty as well as cute. Thanks again Dawn!

  4. This was a real hit at a picnic this summer. I used recipe #120969 (Colored Coconut Flakes) to make "green grass" and sprinkled it on the base of the serving tray. I also think that recipe #95416 (Decorator Buttercream Icing) is fantastic for this type of cake. We used shoelace licorice to make creepy crawly legs on the little insect. my daughter cried when we started to cut into it. it is a GREAT kids cake!

  5. I loved how simple yet effective this was. I made it for my son's 4th birthday and everyone thought it must have taken lots of time but it was so straightforward. I decorated it with smarties, some round gummy lollies and some apple strips. My son picked the lollies and chose the colour of the icing. I used the best ever chocolate cake recipe which made enough to fill two ring tins and seeing as he has two birthday parties suited me fine. Thank you.

I?m ?originally from Texas, but now live in Florida. Still gotta have that spice though....love chipotle peppers, habaneros, and jalapenos. This is a picture of myself & my 2 daughters taken in Dec'06. I am working on my graduate degree, & still work as a nurse prn. When I'm not cooking and eating what I cook... I head for the gym to work out. As far as cookbooks, I love the church/ community cookbooks, where someone has dug out old handwritten recipes by granny and shared them with others-those are the best kind. If I had a month off, I'd for sure go hiking, would love to visit Australia and New Zealand.?
