Ingredients Nutrition

  • 12 cup sugar
  • 12 cup orange marmalade
  • 1 12 cups champagne (or sparkling white grape juice)
  • 8 large navel oranges, peeled and sectioned
  • 12 cup slivered almonds, toasted

Directions

  1. Combine sugar and orange marmalade in a small saucepan; cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. Cool slightly.
  3. Combine sugar mixture, champagne, and orange sections, stirring gently.
  4. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours.
  5. To serve, spoon orange sections into individual compotes or dishes, and sprinkle with almonds.
