ingredients

1 ³⁄₄ cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
¹⁄₄ teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks
1 ³⁄₄ cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
¹⁄₂ cup melted butter
2 egg whites

directions

In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
In another bowl, beat the egg yolks, slightly; stir in the milk, butter and the vanilla.
Add the egg mixture all at once to the flour mixture. Stir until just moistened (the batter should still be slightly lumpy).
Whip egg whites. Fold into mixture.
Specific to your waffle iron, pour appropriate amount of batter onto the grids of a preheated, lightly greased waffle iron . Close the lid quickly and do not open until done.
When done remove the waffles of the iron non abrasive utensils.
Repeat the procedure with the remaining batter.
