  1. My Mother made these. She did not use chopped pecans in the dough. Rather than using a fork to flatten she would press a pecan half on top of each small ball. I bake them on top rack in oven for 15 minutes at 350. Getting ready to make some now. I normally use a couple of shakes of cayenne pepper. It's very easy to use too much. These are a holiday favorite at my house. She called them cheese biscuits. Not sure why but everyone knew what she meant and lined up for them.

  2. A lady I work with brought these to work during the holidays - they are amazing, and such a nice change after all the sweets. I love the cayenne bite - not too much, but enough to notice. Thanks so much for posting this recipe - I was prepared to search for hours to find it!

  3. These were good, however I made one modification. Lightly sprinkel powdered sugar on top of cookies just prior to serving. Nice contrast of a little sweetness with the bite of the cayenne. <br/>Thanks!

  4. Very nice cookies. Now that my daughter is in a much smaller school, and I am a class dad, as they put it, I made these and took them to school today. The 6th graders loved them. The only thing I did different was reduced the cayenne down to 1/2 teaspoon.
