Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (16 ounce) package hot roll mix
  • 1 cup warm water (heated to 120-130 degrees)
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons canned diced green chiles, drained
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the contents of the roll mix and yeast packets.
  2. Stir in water, 1 egg,cheddar cheese, and chilies.
  3. Turn onto a floured surface, knead dough until smooth, and elastic, (about 5 minutes).
  4. Cover and let rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Divide into thirds, and shape each into a 14 inch rope.
  6. Place ropes on a greased baking sheet, and braid. Pinch ends to seal, amd tuck under.
  7. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, (30 minutes).
  8. Beat remaining egg, and brush over dough.
  9. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese, and bake 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from pan to a wire rack.
