"Based on a recipe from Elizabeth Schuler’s book, German Cookery. My notes say to try Gruyere cheese or another flavorful cheese."

  1. This is an exquisite and incredibly easy recipe to make. I cut the recipe in half and chose to use an old, sharp cheddar for the cheese. It is light, fluffy and very flavourful! It browned quite a bit and I removed it from the oven after 15 minutes (usually I have to cook things longer than the time listed in my oven so you may have to cook it for less time than 15 minutes). There is absolutely no doubt that I will be making this again. Made for Newest Zaar tag game. Thanks mersaydees! :)
