Cheese Joes

"Years ago a friend use to make these whenever my boyfriend (now DH for 34 years) would be invited to dinner. Very inexpensive and the kids loved them growing up (without the tomato). I always served them with tomato soup. Quick and easy."

 1. I used ground chuck and the Parmesan/romano cheese mixture. This was good but it was a little bland on the seasonings side as is. I love the concept though. I will make this again but add a little garlic powder or chopped onions to the meat mixture. Made for Potluck 09'

 2. This was so simple and very quick to make..not to mention budget friendly. I read the other reviews and took some advice from them. I added some garlic, onion and italian seasoning with a few chilli flakes to my mixture, along with a generous dash of salt and pepper seasoning. This made for a tasty and filling meal. Thanks Teresa-Made for Gimme Five.

 3. Quick, simple and delicious. The only adjustment I made was I added a dash Italian seasoning, this is great for a weekday quick dinner, when you do not feel like cooking for a long time. There ready in no time. Great recipe !

 4. I used my own canned tomato sauce in this recipe and it does contain garlic and onions. My boys really liked these (minus the tomato). I also melted cheddar cheese instead of American. Made for 1-2-3 Tag.

 5. I read the previous comments and thought - well I'll just add some onion finely chopped. I also used a tomato garlic sauce instead of just plain tomato sauce to give it a bit more bite. I'm pumping this up to 4 because I think most people can add some extra spice if they feel it is needed but this would work great when dealing with younger children who do not like all the zing. This is a great quick night meal to throw together and can easily be doubled/tripled/quadrupled for large gatherings on game nights and still be very budget friendly.
? Hi! My name is Teresa.? My husband and I like to take RV trips but it seems lately we just us it for vintage motorcross races. I enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, have done some rock climbing but age is creeping up on my poor old bones. Anything to do with the outdoors I enjoy, so why do I live in rainy Washington state? We have 2 wonderful children, both grown. My son lives in LA and my daughter and her husband recently moved back in the area with their little boy...our grandson... who just turned?5 years old. We have a granddaughter who lives close by...she just turned 23 this year. She's a sweetheart.? Life is good when you have a son and a?daughter and they?gift?you with a granddaughter and grandson. :)??
