  1. Heat oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer until well blended.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat well.
  4. Stir in 1 and 2/3 cups chocolate chips.
  5. Pour mixture into crust.
  6. Bake 10 minutes at 450, then without opening oven door, reduce heat to 250 F and continue baking for 30 minutes or until set.
  7. Remove from oven to wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Cover and refrigerate until completely chilled.
  9. Place remaining 1/3 cup of chocolate chips and whipping cream in a small microwave safe bowl.
  10. Microwave at high for 20 to 30 seconds until chips melt and mixture is smooth when stirred.
  11. Cool mixture slightly and then spread on top of cheesepie.
  12. Refrigerate 15 minutes to allow topping to set.
