  • In a large skillet over medium heat, saute potatoes in butter until almost tender and lightly browned.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Add milk.
  • Simmer uncovered until milk is absorbed.
  • Top with cheese.
  • Heat until melted.
  • Stir before serving.
