"A yummy, easy and cheesy corn casserole served with a little heat! I typically add one whole large jalapeno, because I like it warmer!"

Questions & Replies

  1. I was going to ask a question about finding fresh jalapeno peppers, but it's thankfully been already been answered .I thought fresh jalapenos would be difficult to find and a half of one would seem impossible. Using canned/bottled seems much more convenient, maybe not as tasty but more practical. Left overs can be saved for scrambled eggs, and ………………..much more. Thanks Clare O.

  2. Can this same recipe be baked in the oven instead of a slow cooker? If it can, what temp would be recommended?

  3. How to make in oven?

  1. I know it isn't totally fair if I rate without following the directions to a tee. But, I did this without the jalapeno. I also only added what I had left in cheddar cheese, which wasn't much. But, I was unsure about cheddar cheese with corn. Sounds weird but maybe that's where I went wrong. It came out ok. I liked that you can do this in a crock pot....but it was vary bland. Probably my fault. lol. I have a recipe for a corn casserole and it calls for Jiffy mix and it is much more tasty. Again, not the recipe maker's fault. Anyway, that's my experience on this. ugh. I suck.

  2. Very good! I made it exactly according to the recipe. I do recommend adding more jalepeno, maybe a whole one, because half was not spicy at all. Other that that, great recipe!

  3. Very sweet, but good.
