Chef Robs Feel Better Soup

"This recipe evolved by my Chef husband always seems to drive any funk I have picked up away (both emotional or physical) and makes me feel better. I thought someone else might need to feel better too! I am guessing at cook time, as we just let it simmer really low all day."

  • Cook sausage, drain and rinse (or the soup will be greasy).
  • Add Chicken stock, cubed potatoes, carrots, Kale, mushrooms, and drained sausage in a stock pot and simmer on medium to medium low for a few hours until veggies are tender.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt to taste through out cooking.
  • Right before serving add heavy cream or half and half and slowly bring back up to a simmer.
