"This recipe is from the internet. It was originally called "Maddie's Cherry Loaf". It is very moist. I make about 6 loaves of it every Christmas."

  1. I had some fresh cherries I needed to use and since my kids love banana bread, blueberry bread, etc. i figured this would be something good to try. I did chop the cherries pretty small so they didnt sink to the bottom. it was actually really good. It didn take about an hour and 15 min to cook so the top was a little darker than i would have liked but still very good. The kids loved it. thanks for sharing I will definetly make again. :)

  3. This is AMAZING !! so moist , really keeps . However , the cherries always sink to the bottom ! It does not take away from the taste . Have made it time and time again for friends and family , and everyone always wants the recipe ! Im in the UK and just use my coffe mug for measurments since we dont do the 'cup' system over here .Still , even by my guesstamets it still turns out yummy !

  4. This is a very nice loaf with a fine texture. Very tasty and easy to put together. I used fresh cherries and even with flour coating they all sunk to the bottom. I may try making this again with marachino cherries because I think it would be really nice. Next time, I will cut the cherries smaller. I baked this at 350F which I turned down to 325F half way through, and used a 13" by 4 1/2" loaf pan.
