Cherry Sangria

"I haven't made this yet, but it sounds like the perfect beverage (for kids & adults) on those hot summer days & warm nites spent w/family or friends on your patio, at poolside or on a picnic. My source here is the Cherry Marketing Institute. Stated time does not include refrigeration time. Enjoy!"

  1. We really enjoyed this drink, just the right amount of tart and sweet. I used the club soda and it was refreshing and perfect, thanks! Made for ZWT8 Bistro Babes :)

  2. This is very good. Nice and sweet. I used Fresca for the soda, and it was a great blend of flavors. My kids loved this sweet drink, even the one that doesn't like cherries :) I'd like to try it with cranberry juice too. Made and Reviewed for Football Pool #17 - Congrats on your win! Thanks :)

  3. What a terrific drink to serve with our Christmas breakfast. I couldn't find cherry juice and wasn't near a Trader Joe's (whom I know has it), so I substituded cranberry juice. Since that is already tart, I decided to use the lemon-lime soda to add. It's just right with that. Thanks for the delicious drink!

  4. I made this to go with breakfast this morning as we have Pre-Christmas house guests this week end. Everyone loved it with no exceptions and the kids loved getting a pretty "grown up" glass (even though their's were plastic!). I used the club soda and it was plenty sweet. The color is quite pretty and the citrus slices are the perfect addition. The ingredients all had a chill from the fridge but I didn't use any ice as it's so cold out and nobody seemed to miss it at this time of year. Everyone from the kids(8 and 10) to greatgramma (78) gave it 5 stars.

  5. Twissis thank you for the great memories while sipping this drink! My grandfather would always order me a "Shirley Temple" when we went out to dinner and this reminded me of them. I used cherry cranberry juice and 7up. Let the cherry mixture refrigerate for a few hours and enjoyed a wonderful treat!
