  1. Blend together butter, 1/2 cup icing sugar and vanilla.
  2. Then add flour, salt and chopped pecans.
  3. Mix well to form a dough.
  4. Chill dough thoroughly.
  5. Drain candied cherries well.
  6. Form dough around each cherry to form a small ball.
  7. Bake at 400 for 10- 15 minutes.
  8. (Dough should not brown).
  9. Roll in icing sugar while warm and again when cool.
