  1. Preheat oven to 175 C.
  2. Grease and flour a 24-25 cm round cake tin.
  3. Start with the filling: stir all the filling ingredients togehter in a small bowl.
  4. For the cake batter: Cream butter and sugar.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Add vanilla, stir to combine.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
  8. Add the flour mixture into the butter& egg mixture, stir to combine.
  9. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan.
  10. Sprinkle on the filling.
  11. Top with the rest of the batter.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the cake tests done.
