  1. Very good. After reading the other reviews, I didn't use the applesauce at all, put in a bit of butter, as per other bread machine recipes I have used successfully in the past, added some raisins with the died cherries, adn I'm glad I did, the quantity in the final product is good, I would have wanted more had I only used the dried cherries. I had to use ff pineapple yougurt, as someone had eaten the cherry, but next time I will make it with cherry. Not too important a substituion, still tastes great. And, most importantly, as it did the first mixing, I stood over the machine and added flour until I knew I was going to get a loaf that wasn't too wet. Mine was until I got about another at least third cup, maybe more, flour into it as it kneaded. And the additional flour I added was whole wheat, but that isn't important. For the rest of the recipe, used white bread flour. A very pretty, high, tall loaf. Slices well. I think it would be really good toasted too. Will certainly make it again, but do be careful with the flour to liquid ratio for a good product.

  2. I really loved this and have made it two times already. Like others have said it definitely needs extra flour but I just watch it and add more accordingly. I just let the bread machine take care of the dough cycle and put it in the oven since I prefer it that way.

  3. Very good, my first recipezaar creation! Almost a desert, this is some great bread for cherry lovers. I made a couple of changes for fun: Added 1tsp molases, 1tsp honey, 2T cream cheese, & 1/4c apple-pie filling w/1T olive oil to subsitute for the apple-sauce, which I didn't have on hand. My $5 garage-sale breadmaker has paid itself off with the first use, kudos on the recipe!

  4. I used plain yogurt and added some dried apricots. Found the loaf to be very heavy and wet, but the flavor was wonderful and it was still tasted nice toasted.

  5. This was a very flavorful bread. I found that it was a little too wet though so I would use a bit less water next time.
