Cheryl Matthew's Dripless Popsicles

"These popsicles are the invention of a very good freind of mine in Taber, Alberta. Cheryl often made them for my children, and love still love to go to her house and eat them up on hot summer days. They are a huge hit with the little kids and the BIG kids!"

  1. YUM!!! I have been wanting popsicles alot latly, but have found that store-bought lack the flavor i want. :) I used black cherry kool-aid and cherry jello, and froze it in solo cups with a plastic spoon in it- so no clean up afterwards. I will be having this again soon. Thanks so much for sharing! Great for cooling down on a hot day!

  2. Oooh! Those are good! I made mine with cherry jello and cherry kool-aid mix and they were fabulous! Great for my 2 and 4 year-old who tend to make big messes with regular popsicles...although I had to admit...I couldn't stay out of them myself!

  3. I made mine using Orange Jelly and Orange Kool aid and they were delicious! Thanks for sharing this recipe.

  4. Made these using cherry flavored jello and kool-aid, but the recipe doesn't specify what size jello package to use, so I just used the larger six oz. size and only put in 3/4 cup sugar. They tasted great and were plenty sweet, so I'm glad I didn't use more sugar. This made alot of popsicles, so I poured the extra liquid into ice cube trays and I think I will add them to lemonade to make cherry lemonade.

  5. Delicious! I used strawberry kool-aid and strawberry-banana jello. They were so good that DH finished them off after the kids went to bed and I had to make more!

I live in Northern Canada, and really love it here. I work full time, have two great kids; Robyn - aged 8 and Braeden - aged 5. I have a great Hubby who does most of the cooking during the week, as he is home much earlier than I. We love to entertain on the weekends, and often have large dinner parties. It's lots of fun, and we really like spending time with those we aren't able to see as often as we would like. The Hubby and I enjoy setting the menu, and then being up to our arm-pits in work!! Our guests always love coming to our house for good food, good friendship, and good wine. What else is there?.......
