Chevy's Watermelon Fresh Fruit Margarita (On the Rocks)

"Top Secret Recipe Version, from Todd Wilbur. You will need to puree fresh watermelon in a blender for this recipe. First, cut some ripe seedless watermelon from the rind, and then coarsely smash it in a bowl with a potato masher or large fork (this gives the blender something to grab on to). Pour the melon from the bowl into a blender and blend on high speed for 10 seconds or until it is pureed."

  1. I'm sorry but...this was just soooo alcohol-y...and I'm not looking to just sit around and get drunk. I want a fruity, sweet, "reminds me of Senor Frogs in Cozumel" margarita. I added 4 large spoonfuls of limeade (I have all the ingredients for several different margarita recipes and thought what the heck) and for good measure another spoonful of just plain sugar and wa-laa! Not too shabby. I just had my favorite homemade watermelon margarita-on-the-rocks so far! Can't wait to share it with my friends cuz I'm the best "drinkmaster"!!!

  2. This was very easy and very good! I had some extra strawberries left over so I threw those in as well.

I am finally learning how to cook thanks to recipezaar! I haven't really made up any of my own recipes yet, but I have made a lot of the ones posted on here. Asian food is my favorite thing to make, and I also enjoy making desserts (especially cheesecake). I am amazed by how easy it has been for me to learn how to cook. I always used to think cooking was so hard and time-consuming, but I learned that once you have all the ingredients and proper equipment on hand it's not very difficult. I used to only cook stuff in the microwave or in the crockpot, but since I joined recipezaar I have been working my way up to more and more challenging recipes.
