Ingredients Nutrition
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1⁄4 cup bread flour
- 1⁄8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 1⁄2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1⁄2 tablespoon egg
- 1⁄4 teaspoon egg yolk
- 3⁄4 teaspoon milk

Directions
- Melt the butter in a microwave safe plastic bowl. If you lightly put the lid on top, the butter will not make a mess of the inside of the microwave. Add the sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter and cream with a wooden spoon or fork. Add the egg, yolk, milk, and vanilla extract and mix until combined. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, sift the flour, salt, and baking soda together. Add this to the butter mixture. Lastly stir in the chocolate chips.
- Chill the dough at least two hours or overnight.
- When your dough is chilled, preheat your oven to 375F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll about 4 tablespoons of dough (or 2 ounces if you want to weigh each one) into balls or use a #20 disher, and place on the cookie sheet. be sure to leave ample room between them, as they spread while baking.
- Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a rack to cool.
- Store in an airtight container.
