- 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine, softened
- 3⁄4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1⁄4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 (3 1/2 ounce) package vanilla flavor instant pudding mix
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1⁄4 cups flour
- 1 (12 ounce) package semisweet chocolate chunks
directions
- HEAT oven to 375°F Beat butter, sugars, dry pudding mix and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add eggs and baking soda; mix well. Gradually add flour, beating after each addition until well blended. Stir in chocolate.
- DROP teaspoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets.
- BAKE 8 to 10 minute or until golden brown. Cool 3 minute on baking sheets. Remove to wire racks. Cool completely.

As you said, this is the best recipe and I can just stop looking for another! My oatmeal raisin recipe has vanilla pudding in it which makes such a huge difference. So soft! This is very similar and with the chocolate chunks, it's amazing, so good. I got the dark chocolate chunks - Safeway's Signature brand that were 61% cacao - so they had plenty of sweetness! This is my new "goto". Very Yummy Christmas Cookies this year!
