  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 14 cups milk
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 34 cup cubed cooked chicken
  • 34 cup chopped cooked broccoli
  • 1 dash basil
  • salt
  • grated cheese

directions

  • Saute onions in butter until transparent.
  • Stir in flour until thick.
  • Add milk and blend.
  • Add eggs and stir but do not cook.
  • Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell.
  • Add chicken, broccoli, dash of basil and salt to taste.
  • Top with grated cheese.
  • Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
  • Serve hot.

  1. We enjoyed this for lunch today. I added 1 cup of shredded cheddar/monterey jack cheese to the egg mixture. I will definitely make this again.
