  1. This was very good. I had to use cream of mushroom instead of cream of celery soup though but it tasted great. I used skinless chicken breast and cooked it along with the celery and onions. I felt it needed some extra seasonings so I added some cracked pepper and also added salt and pepper at the table. I couldn't help but to try this once it was all assembled, except for the crumbs, and thought it would make a great pasta disheven without the baking. I will try it with the tuna next time.

  2. This is a great base recipe. Since I read that it was a bit bland as written, I added ricotta cheese (about 1 cup), parmesan cheese and some american cheese to it. Oh, I also added about 1/2 tsp of dried basil. It majorly cheesed it up! We loved it and can't wait to dive into the left-overs today. Even my 4 year old loved it-which is a small miracle.

  3. We loved this dish! It is admittedly a bit bland, and next time I may try to add some flavor with a bit of salt/pepper or the inclusion of some parmesan, but overall it was delicious. The whole family could hardly get enough, and it was quite simple to prepare -- can't ask for much more than that!

  4. We forgot the breadcrumbs but it turned out great anyway. Wonderful flavor, just a bit 'thin' but as I said, that was our fault. Would definitely try again.

  5. Really great casserole, but I agree it could use a little something extra. I put parmesean cheese over the finished product. Worth a try!

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
