"You definitely won't be sorry you tried this. This is one of my old standby company dishes that I can always count on to be first rate. This goes good with Savory Rice, another recipe I posted here on recipezaar."

directions

  • Tuck ends of chicken in and roll up.
  • Wrap in bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  • (Fry the bacon slightly to get rid of some of the fat).
  • Place chicken in a 9x13 dish.
  • Heat soup& cream and pour over chicken.
  • Bake uncovered at 275 for 2 hours.
  • This does make a lot of sauce so you could possibly get away with using 1 can soup and 1 cup sour cream, depending on how many breasts you make.

  1. MMM MMM Good!I wasn't sure if I was supposed to use regular or cream of chicken or mushroom soup.I used cream of chicken. I was a little worried about cooking it uncovered because I thought the sauce would dry out. It turned out great! It needed some salt and pepper.I will defenitly make this one again!

  2. This was a delightful dish. The chicken was really moist and the bacon added a wonderful flavour. The sauce was great as well. I served this with a Garden Vegetable rice that I thought went very well with it. I did not modify anything. However, I took Bert's advice and used 1 can of soup and 1 cup of sour cream. MMM MMM MMM Also, I stumbled on this recipe, decided that's what's for dinner and realized the recipe was one of a friend's. Thanks for a new fav in our house Bert, Vicky

I love to cook and so I am thrilled that I found recipezaar. I work as an educational assistant in a food school so I am around food all day long. I have four children, three of which have already flown the coop so to speak but I still have my 'baby' at home. (He's 21). I am lucky in that I have my summers off so I spend a lot of time trying new recipes and catching up on my reading. I also play soccer in a ladies league to stay in shape.
