  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in non-stick skillet and saute onions and mushrooms until tender.
  • Put aside.
  • In a small bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder.
  • Coat the livers in the dry mixture.
  • Heat 3 tbsp of oil in non-stick skillet and fry livers until almost done.
  • Reduce heat, adding onions, mushrooms and wine.
  • Cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.

  1. Excellent with 1/2 lb fresh crimini mushrooms and (sweet) Madeira wine. Cooked with wine only 10-12 minutes. I drank the Pinot Noir.
     
  2. This is fabulous if you’re a liver lover and I am! I did use fresh sliced white mushrooms and I cut back a little on the oil. Turned out fantastic! Melts in your mouth and fantastic flavor!
