ingredients
- 1 lb chicken, cut in 1 1/2 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
- 3 cups water
- 2 cups chopped carrots
- 1 1⁄2 cups chopped onions
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon parsley
- 1⁄4 teaspoon turmeric

Dumplings
- 3 egg whites
- 1⁄2 cup cottage cheese
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup flour
directions
- In dutch oven, brown chicken in butter.
- Add broth, water, vegetables, and seasonings.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

For dumplings:
- Beat egg whites and cottage cheese in mixing bowl.
- Add water and salt.
- Stir in the flour; mix well.
- Bring soup to a boil.
- Drop dumplings by TBS onto boiling soup.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 17 minutes.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!!
I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch.
We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
