"This is one of the easiest meals to prepare. For variation I occasionally throw in 1/2 cup pineapple chunks. I found it the "Slow Cooker Recipes", Publications International, Ltd."

  1. I agree that this recipe is easy to fix and has a unique flavour from the slow cooker. I was intrigued by the ingredients... especially the molasses!! We found it tasty for a change although not a regular for out tastes. I used frozen chicken drumsticks, brown sugar, and tamari (instead of soy sauce). I also thickened the sauce a little using cornflour. I served it with veges and the sauce was nice with potato. The kids ate it without comment and from them that's a big compliment!! *grin* Thanks for sharing!!

  2. Super easy to fix. I used frozen boneless skinless thighs. Then just poured in one can of chunky pineapple and guessed on the measurements of the rest of ingredents. I turned it on high and left it for several hours (I turned the chicken once to make use both sides were cooked though.) About twenty minutes before we were going to eat I added 3/4 cup of long grain rice. I think next time I will add some carrots and maybe some onions. A good crockpot recipe that doesn't taste like everything else that comes out of the crockpot.
