  • Mix water, soy sauce, sugar, star anise and sherry in a pot; bring to boil.
  • Add chicken wings; bring to boil again.
  • Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Remove wings from sauce.
  • Serve cold.
  • Note: I cut the wings in 3 segments and arrange on a platter garnished with chopped green onions or cilantro.
